How to: simple kawaii

kawaii clothes and items are sadly not always completely accepted by western society. So if you aren't confident enough to wear kawaii clothes there are some simple ways you can make normal items have a cute side:

A dress i found in New Look is very pretty but it doesnt quite fit with the japanese style i was going for.

For this dress i felt it only needed two extra features a cute bag and bow. Bows are very popular in japanese fashion and can make any outfit look adorable. Going to John Lewis i picked up 1 metre of this blue ribbon that matched with the colour in the dress. I found this satchel on Ebay for £6.99 and i thought it was very similar to the school bags used in japan and in animes.

simple accessories can really change the look of your outfit. you can add bows to your hair or stitch them into your clothes. Luckily frilly socks are popular in western fashion at the moment and they also fit well with a cute dolly look. Adding frilly socks to a normal outfit just adds that little extra sweetness and it wont get you strange looks anymore.

kawaii room deco tips ♥

hi everyone! I've been working on making my room cute for the past year now and I'm ready to share with you some tips for making your room "kawaii" the style I'm going for is very hime princess style and some parts of my room I've DIY'd to make even cuter!♥

first tip! glue on bows, pearls, lace onto stuff to make it cuter

 this mirror is from Matalan

as you can see on the right i glued a string of pearls around the edge to make it more princess-y

this was quite a boring white lamp from Ikea before i added a frilly lace trim and some cute little bows to it

i tied some ribbon in a bow around my bed posts to make them cuter

my next tip is to diplay all of your bows and hair accessories in a little glass dish and diplay your jewellery on a jewellery hanger.

My next tip is to hide all your schoolwork in a cute box to keep it neat. this one is from Matalan and doubles up as a seat!

Finally im going to show you some other cute stuff from my room!

this cushion was £2 from a charity shop

i got this sweet little birdhouse from a handmade store and i hang it on my curtain pole

buying kawaii fashion from ebay and haul ♥

hello everyone! today's post is going to be a guide on buying kawaii fashion on eBay. as much as i enjoy going out shopping theres something so nice about buying from the comfort of my own home
^-^
eBay has a huge range of clothes and when i discovered i could buy adorable pieces for reasonable prices i became hooked. I'm going to be sharing some my tips with you today along with 6 items to show you which I've accumulated over the past few months so lets start ♥

my first tip is to have an open mind, searching "kawaii dress" for example wont get you a lot of results. i search things such as "cute" "Korean" "peter pan collar" "sweet" which will get you a lot more results. in fact searching "Korean fashion" will get you a ton of really nice results.

secondly is don't be afraid to buy second hand! often the items are in great quality and eBay will protect you if goods are faulty or undelivered. some of the clothes I've bought are second hand and are great ^^

next is to search high street brands which you like such as new look, topshop, primark. primark is a really good one because theres so much of it on eBay and you're bound to find something you like.

be sure before buying that the item will fit you, larger stores will often tell you measurements but if you're unsure ask the seller for exact measurements as some people will not accept returns and you will often have to pay the delivery for it, I've never had this problem but just a warning!

also a lot of Korean/ Japanese clothes have elasticated waistbands and one size fits a wide range of sizes so i don't worry too much when buying dresses

i hope this has been somewhat helpful and I'm going to end by showing you all the items I've got from eBay and hopefully I'll find more to share with you!

                                                         primark sailor cardigan £10

                                                           primark shift dress £9

unbranded peter pan collar dress £14

                                                          primark skirt with braces £6

unbranded polka dot dress £2.99 (!!!!)
sailor style backpack £8 ish
